About the Job:

As the Special Events and Fundraising Coordinator at Carleton Community Centre Inc., you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing events and campaigns to raise money and donations. You will work closely with our Youth Program Coordinator and Executive Director to ensure the success of all events from start to finish. In addition, you will have the opportunity to work with CCC youth and staff to brainstorm ideas, organize events, and manage our beach volleyball league, which serves as a fundraiser for the centre.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and oversee events and campaigns
  • Engage with youth and residents to bring energy and excitement to programming
  • Research potential donors and collaborate with community partners
  • Create budgets and organize transportation
  • Manage beach volleyball league, including collecting scores and maintaining courts
  • Other duties as assigned

A candidate (student) must:

  • Be a resident of New Brunswick (must have lived in New Brunswick for at least 6 months) or a First Nation community in New Brunswick;
  • Be eligible to work in Canada (must have a valid SIN number);
  • NOT be an immediate family member (spouse, children, parent, brother or sister) of the employer;
  • Be a high school student entering grade 10, 11, or 12 in September 2024; OR
  • Be a full-time Grade 12, university or college student in the current academic year of 2023-2024 AND attending a post-secondary institution full-time in the fall of 2024.
