The Café Ambassador is a great opportunity for a team player who wants to build connections and engage with our community! This role is a contract, on-call position. Provide exceptional front line service to cafe customers preparing and serving making coffees, teas, and other beverages. Warming and serving breakfast and lunch style foods. Provide knowledgeable service and attention, able to speak to the food products and beverages being served in the café and make recommendations. Maintain the café in terms of organization, visual presentation, a high level of cleanliness and track customer suggestions, quality and issues and stock issues. Ensure the seating area is clean and welcoming; bus and sanitize tables as necessary. Assist with upholding policies and procedures in the cafe. Support the Café Assistant Manager with the training of new staff and overseeing their performance. A passion and knowledge of food, coffee or beer and a desire to further that knowledge.
