Westcoast(WFC) is looking for a full-time temporary Programs and Services Manager for 1 year to work in the Tri-Cities area, starting July 2024 .This position will report directly to Director of Programs & Clinical Services.
The Programs & Services Manager (PSM) oversees the Tri-Cities region which includes but is not limited to Family Preservation services, Early Years services, Young Parents Program and Child and Youth with Support Needs services. The PSM is responsible to oversee and ensure the service delivery is performed according to and within the mission, vision, values statement, and policy/procedural directions of Westcoast Family Centres Society. The PSM is an active member of the Leadership team and assumes professional responsibility for the management, quality, development, and supervision of staff; case management support, monitoring, and review; participation in strategic program planning and development; financial management of the program; and fostering relationships with funders, partnered agencies, and the community.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide developmental leadership, supervision, evaluation, and support of the growing programs and employees.
- Directly supervise front line workers and Assistant Team Lead for the various programs noted above
- Oversee recruitment and participate in the screening, hiring, and orientation of new employees.
- Collaborates with the Human Resource team in formal hiring and disciplinary processes as required.
- Responsible for the overall training and development of employees.
- Assumes professional case responsibility for the quality of work done by individual personnel and the team.
- Foster and maintain a strong, safe, and supportive team environment.
- Work within the parameters of the collective agreement and WFC policies and procedures.
- Presents quarterly to the Leadership Team on progress of program and community development efforts.
- Collaborates in the development of new programs and services alongside members of the operations team.
- Participate in the financial management, monitoring & evaluation of programs and services.
- Participate in the accreditation and quality assurance of service delivery.
- Ensure timely and efficient case management is demonstrated across services within your portfolio including, referrals management, case monitoring, and reporting, meeting agency quality standards.
- Conduct client and stakeholder feedback to ensure consistent quality of service.
- Develop and maintain relationships with funders and community partners.
- Ensure critical support is provided during incidents and crisis situations.
- Ensure compliance with legislation and regulation for both work environment and practice.
- Ensure the highest professional standards of ethics and confidentiality.
- Step into role of Acting Director of Programs and Clinical Services in the absence of incumbent.
- Other duties as required.
Requirements:
- University Degree in Child and Youth Care, Social Work or a related discipline
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check and Driving Abstract
- 5 + years of leadership experience
