Job Title: Professional, Engineering - Projects - Aircraft Design and Development

In your role, you will:

  1. Manage and deliver on time, engineering projects and activities related to major milestones for one of many existing and/or new platforms.
  2. Manage cross-functional teams in the establishment of scope, schedule, and budget of engineering projects.
  3. Lead and coordinate technical Engineering Change planning, ensuring completeness and harmonization with stakeholders.
  4. Enforce adherence to Bombardier practices and Knowledge Standards to promote integrity and consistency in technical engineering activities.
  5. Work closely with technical experts, business leaders, suppliers, and customer representatives to ensure adherence and compliance of project scope, schedule, and budget.
  6. Manage and establish engineering-related priorities between projects and activities, complete strategic schedule analysis, and communicate and harmonize these priorities.
  7. Identify and report on risks and lead risk mitigation planning and execution.
  8. Participate and/or coordinate within the internal safety and security processes to assess, contain, and correct potential product deficiencies with cross-functional stakeholders.
  9. Prepare and provide visibility of budget requirement / resource allocation.
  10. Prepare and present visibility reports for the various levels of the organization.
  11. Coordinate Integrated Product Development Team (IPDT) cross-functional reviews.
  12. Coordinate and manage multi-site activities and remote participation as necessary.
  13. Coordinate formal engineering document release (Drawings, ModSums, Compliance Documents, Service Bulletins etc..).
Qualifications for Ideal Candidate:

You have:

  • An Engineering degree, or relevant diploma with equivalent working experience, with 5-8 years in project management or aerospace.
  • Familiarity with Program/Project Management processes and principles.
  • Sound aircraft technical and/or manufacturing experience.
  • Previous experience in structural and/or systems development would be an asset.
