About Our Client
Our client, experiencing growth, is in search of a Corporate Controller for their head office to join the newly integrated corporate finance team. As the parent organization of multiple divisions in the manufacturing sector, we seek an adept Controller who can thrive in a dynamic environment, drive consolidated reporting and financial planning & analysis, establish robust accounting policies and practices to adapt to evolving circumstances, and assist the CFO in maintaining financial governance across the organization.

About the Opportunity

  • Generate timely and comprehensive reports on financial performance on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, encompassing bank compliance reporting and Board reporting.
  • Oversee the aggregation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for accurate accounting of consolidated business results.
  • Lead and facilitate Business Planning and Forecasting activities throughout the company.
  • Collaborate with Divisional Controllers to analyze and provide insights on financial and operational performance to enhance financial reporting.
  • Assist the CFO in establishing, implementing, and monitoring consistent accounting policies, controls, and procedures across all facilities, in adherence to best practices and regulatory standards.
  • Manage company-wide treasury operations and provide oversight to divisional-level treasury functions, including cash flow projections and payment planning.
  • Coordinate activities with external auditors across group facilities.
  • Optimize the company's working capital metrics, including DSO, DPO, and DIO.

About You

  • CPA designation;
  • years of experience as a Controller or senior-level accounting/finance manager in a similarly sized multi-divisional organization.
  • Familiarity with ASPE and/or IFRS accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in computerized Tier 1 or 2 ERP systems.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Prior experience in the manufacturing industry.
  • Experience with corporate-level treasury management.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self-driven with a focus on independent problem-solving and issue resolution.
