Job Description
Agropur is currently seeking a full time Red Seal Millwright or Electrician with a Power Engineer Class 4 for the Edmonton Ice Cream Plant. Minimum qualifications must include a valid 4th Class Power Engineer Certificate of Competency and a Red Seal Trade ticket. Strong mechanical aptitude and trouble shooting skills are necessary. PLC experience is a definite asset. The successful candidate must be willing to work flexible shifts and hours including evening and weekend shifts. Previous relevant experience in food processing/manufacturing industry is strongly preferred. Agropur offers a very competitive compensation and health benefits after the successful completion of probation.
***This is an unionized position**** Subject to the CBA $41.37 ($42.20 effective December 3, 2023) per hour
Requirements:
What do you need to get this position?
• Journeyman Electrician/Millwright or Welder (Valid in Alberta)
• Previous experience in the maintenance of food processing/packaging equipment would be an asset.
• Knowledge of PLC and programming is an asset
• Ability to perform basic TIG welding for quick repairs and small fabrication jobs is an asset
• Strong organizational skills
• Must be mechanically inclined
• Demonstrated skills with Microsoft Word and Excel
