Part of the Renfrew and Area Health Village, RVH provides medical, surgical and complex continuing care as well as extensive ambulatory care with over 30,000 emergency and clinic visits per year.

We are currently hiring a permanent, full-time, onsite Health Information Management Professional (Accredited).

Pay Grid: $32.37-$37.26/hour

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 (two) year diploma in accredited Health Information Management program mandatory

• Active Professional certification with CHIMA (Canadian Health Information Management Association) required.

• 2 years previous experience analyzing health information, coding and abstracting DAD and NACRS with ICD-10-CA and CCI mandatory.

• Knowledge and understanding of national coding standards and practices essential.

• Experience with Epic electronic medical record and Winrecs abstracting program required. Crystal report experience an asset.

• Experience with retrieval and release of information in accordance with PHIPA and current legislation governing health information, hospital and departmental policies and procedures.

• Ability to provide support to our community of users of the patient portal.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

• Experience with collaborative working group teams required.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and strong English oral and written communication skills, as well as the ability to demonstrate RVH values.

• Ability to perform duties within the physical demands of the work area.
