About the Role:

We seek a driven Key Account Manager with a CPG or food manufacturing background to manage and grow retail accounts. Based in Mississauga, this hybrid role is ideal for someone with 2 to 5 years of experience who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is passionate about building long-term relationships.

The Key Account Manager will manage customer relationships, develop business plans, and execute strategies that support sales growth and brand objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a portfolio of key retail accounts to drive sales growth and improve market presence

• Develop and execute customer-specific business plans and promotional strategies

• Maintain strong relationships with retail buyers and category managers

• Conduct regular account reviews, analyze sales performance, and identify growth opportunities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, demand planning, finance) to ensure alignment and execution

• Negotiate pricing, trade spend, and promotional activity with retail customers

• Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and category performance

• Maintain accurate records of account activity using CRM and reporting tools

Qualifications:

• 2-5 years of experience in key account management, sales, or category development within the CPG or food manufacturing industry

• Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, or a related field (asset)

• Experience working directly with major Canadian retail accounts (e.g., Loblaw, Metro, Sobeys, Walmart, etc.)

• Strong analytical skills

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with CRM tools is an asset

• Self-starter who can work independently in a hybrid environment
