Our global mid-sized client is seeking a HR Director to join their team for a 3-month contract. This high-impact leadership role reports directly into the president and will oversee all facets of the HR function during a dynamic period of international expansion and private equity-backed growth. The ideal candidate will be a strategic and hands-on HR leader, capable of scaling talent and culture initiative.
This is a hybrid position, located in the GTA (Durham Region).
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive HR strategy aligned with business goals, emphasizing workforce planning, engagement, and retention.
- Partner with senior leaders to evolve the company's structure and foster high-performance teams.
- Implement scalable frameworks for performance management, continuous feedback, and leadership readiness.
- Design competitive, equitable total rewards programs, including incentive plans.
- Support due diligence and integration efforts, including organizational design and change management.
- Ensure compliance with labour laws and standards, while maintaining HR policies and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 7-10 years of progressive HR leadership experience, with at least 3 years in a senior-level role.
- Experience in manufacturing, consumer products, fitness/wellness, or retail sectors is highly desirable.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional HR certifications are an asset.
- Strong ability to think strategically.
- A collaborative, relationship-oriented leader with strong interpersonal skills, capable of inspiring, mentoring, and holding teams accountable.
