We're seeking a Marketing Specialist to join our Edmonton-based client on a part-time basis for 1 month. This short-term role is ideal for a creative and strategic marketer who can hit the ground running and support a variety of initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and distribute marketing content across channels, including newsletters, communiqués, and promotional materials
- Manage and monitor social media accounts, responding to comments and messages
- Promote organizational programs, services, and initiatives through strategic campaigns
- Coordinate events such as webinars, conferences, and information sessions
- Maintain and update website content to ensure accuracy and alignment with branding
- Design and produce print and digital materials (e.g., annual reports, advertisements, reports)
- Ensure consistent brand messaging across all marketing platforms
- Draft and distribute media releases; handle media inquiries
- Contribute to and follow an annual marketing and communications plan
- Support fundraising and donor engagement communications
- Assist with other marketing-related tasks as needed
What You Bring:
- 3+ years of experience in a marketing or communications role
- Proven ability to develop and implement marketing and promotional strategies
- Strong writing, editing, and design skills
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat)
- Solid understanding of social media and digital marketing trends
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field
- Valid Class 5 driver's license (if applicable)
