JOB DESCRIPTION:

Insight Global is looking for a Senior UI Developer to join a large HCM client on a 6 month contract based in Toronto, mainly remote with ad hoc onsite days for whiteboarding sessions. The successful candidates will join a large project to build a web application from scratch replicating the mobile version of this product. Experience building micro front ends using react for component development, GitHub, ADO for ci/cd configuration, partnering with back end development teams, and having an eye for design to enhance the user experience is crucial to succeed in this role.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

- 8-10 years' experience as a UI developer for large organizations and creating micro front end architecture

- 5+ years of strong experience using React with a heavy emphasis on component development, state management, page navigation, styling, and reusable/modular component design patterns

- 5+ years experience with web accessibility development aligning to WCAG standards and familiar with design systems to create user friendly interfaces

- Experience with a testing framework such as Cypress, Jest to create and update test cases

- 3+ years experience with Github for branching, tagging, release patterns, and configurating repositories

- 3+ years experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) for setting up CI/CD pipelines

- Excellent communication skills to provide timely and proactive status updates for effective sprint planning

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

- Experience with Figma wireframes for design requirements

- Familiarity with .NET and SQL backend development to work cross-functionally with back end teams
