We are currently partnered with a large midstream company, seeking a Field Engineer on a 12+ month contract. This is an 8/6 rotation to site, with camp accommodations provided.
Field Engineers are responsible for liaising with the Construction Management Team (CMT), field contractors, Project Managers, Engineers, and Vendors to coordinate and resolve field-level engineering issues. They are site-based and support project execution by managing technical documentation, ensuring compliance, and facilitating turnover processes. Field Engineers work on a rotation schedule aligned with project needs.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate technical matters with project stakeholders (Project Managers, Engineers, Contractors, CMT).
- Manage field-level documentation including RFIs, NCRs, and redlines.
- Support Smart Completions processes and ensure accurate turnover documentation.
- Lead and participate in P&ID, vendor, and system walkdowns.
- Review vendor equipment for completeness and accuracy.
- Track deficiencies and manage scope changes from vendor shops.
- Support QA reviews and ensure NCRs align with technical requirements.
- Assist in developing construction work packages.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory documentation requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
- 5-10 years of relevant field engineering or construction experience.
- Knowledge of construction practices, codes, and standards in the energy sector.
- Experience with RFIs, NCRs, P&IDs, Smart Completions, and turnover systems.
- Proficient in Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite, and project tracking tools.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Comfortable working in remote, rotation-based, site environments.
- Understanding of regulatory and safety compliance requirements.
