Agilus is recruiting for a Sales Manager in the Steel industry in Edmonton, Alberta.
The Sales Manager will be tasked with supervising team training, evaluating performance, and monitoring sales metrics.
A typical day:
- Establish a routine for the Sales team to engage with customers consistently
- Collaborate with the central office to develop a pricing strategy.
- Monitor inventory levels
- Lead and motivate the sales team
- Developing and implementing sales strategies as well as setting and achieving sales targets.
- Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to identify opportunities.
- Prepare and present weekly sales reports to management.
Successful candidates will have:
- 5+ years of sales experience plus at least 3+ years of management experience
- Experience with reading and understanding Mill Test reports and Customer Specifications will be an asset
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Collaborative and willing to coach the team as needed
- Excellent computer skills
- A steel manufacturing background, experience in oil and gas (downstream), or Mill Test Report experience would be an asset
- Organizing and multitasking, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Flexible as travel is required
- Willing to learn
