Triacta Power Solutions, a division of Metergy Solutions Inc., has an immediate opening for a Junior Electrical Engineer. This opportunity is a fulltime position at our Carleton Place design and manufacturing facility.

Job Description:

As part of the engineering team, this position is responsible for developing new circuit cards for Triacta's multi-point electrical submeters and providing engineering support for existing products.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Design circuitry using OrCAD Capture tools
• Update Engineering component database as required to support manufacturing
• Review supplier product change notices and prepare component change orders
• Support testing of custom customer deliveries
• Other Engineering tasks as required

Required Qualifications:

• A university degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Knowledge of Microprocessor design concepts
• Knowledge of communication protocols such as MBus, RS-485, Ethernet 10/100 Base-T and WiFi
• Good technical communication and writing skills
• Commitment to Quality and Safety

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with AC to DC and switching DC power supplies
• Good understanding of electrical power distribution systems
