Working closely with the Aquatic Manager, you will help oversee swim programs, coordinate staff schedules, support and supervise aquatic staff, and maintain high standards of water safety and program quality. You will play an important role in ensuring that swimming lessons run smoothly, instructors are supported, and swimmers and families have a safe, positive, and enjoyable experience.

We are looking for a dependable, organized, and proactive individual with strong swimming skills, sound judgment, and a passion for developing people and delivering high-quality aquatic programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate swim lesson schedules, staff assignments, pool usage, and coverage to ensure smooth and timely program delivery.
  • Monitor ongoing classes and daily operations to maintain program quality and consistency.
  • Assist with planning and implementing swim programs, training activities, and special aquatic events.

Staff Supervision and Development

  • Provide day-to-day guidance and support to swim instructors, lifeguards, and deck supervisors.
  • Help ensure staff follow established procedures, teaching standards, and organizational policies.
  • Assist with staff onboarding, training, performance feedback, and ongoing development, as assigned.
  • Help address staffing concerns, scheduling conflicts, and operational challenges promptly and professionally.

Water Safety and Risk Management

  • Monitor pool activities and help maintain a safe environment for swimmers, staff, and guests.
  • Reinforce water safety practices and ensure staff follow applicable safety procedures.
  • Respond appropriately to incidents and emergencies within the scope of training and certification.
  • Assist with incident documentation, reporting, and follow-up actions.

Administration and Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records relating to staff schedules, attendance, certifications, and program operations.
  • Assist with operational reports, data tracking, and internal communications.
  • Communicate effectively with management and aquatic staff regarding scheduling, program delivery, and operational needs.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflow, staff coordination, safety practices, and the overall swimmer experience.

What We're Looking For

We are seeking a proactive and approachable leader who enjoys working in a hands-on aquatic environment. The ideal candidate takes initiative, supports their teammates, communicates effectively, and understands the importance of balancing operational efficiency with swimmer safety and customer satisfaction.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced swim instructor, lifeguard, or aquatic supervisor looking to grow into a management role within a swim school.
