Position: Health Services Clinical Team Leader

Status: Permanent, 1.0 FTE Full-Time (35 hours per week)
Salary Scale: $81,245 - $97,861 annualized salary plus benefits
Start Date: Immediately

Position Description:
The Health Services Clinical Team Leader is responsible for day to day supervision of the nursing team members, coordination of clinical operational issues and supporting effective team functioning. The Health Services Clinical Team Leader provides on-going orientation of the Centre and the Team's policies, procedures and protocols for all clinical team members (including permanent, contract, relief and locums), and is responsible for coordinating the physical environment of the clinical area. The Health Services Clinical Team Leader also provides direct service to clients as required.
Reporting Relationship:
As an employee of the Sandy Hill Community Health Centre, the incumbent is responsible to the Manager, Integrated Health Services and through them to the Director of Integrated Health Services and to the Executive Director.
The incumbent is responsible for maintaining the licensing and regulatory requirements of the College of Nurses of Ontario as the professional governing body.

Requirements for this position include:
Education and Language
- Baccalaureate degree in nursing from a recognized college or university
- Certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Under the Centre's designation to provide French Language Services:
- French (oral expression): Advanced
- French (oral comprehension): Advanced
- French (reading comprehension): Intermediate +
- French (writing comprehension): Intermediate +
- Fluency in English, both oral and written
Professional Experience
- Three to five years clinical nursing experience in Community Health Centre setting
- Three to five years supervisory experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong administrative, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment
- Ability to pay close attention to detail
- Sound judgment

Conditions of Employment:
Hours of work will be developed in collaboration with the successful candidate to ensure a healthy work-life balance. A schedule of work will be based on the Centre's hours of operation and program requirements and may include some evenings.
