Park Paving Ltd. has been locally owned and operated for 50 years as one of the largest road construction contractors in Edmonton, and we are looking for a Roller Operator to work with our company's Asphalt Paving division for the upcoming 2025 road construction season.

This is a seasonal position that offers competitive wage with benefits. The primary duties for this position will include, but are not limited to:

• Developing rolling patterns that will maximize compaction and minimize bumps.
• Working with the rakerman to roll out joints to minimize bumps.
• Watching for and reporting obvious deficiencies such as oily spots, high or low areas, segregation, cracking, etc.
• Performing regular daily maintenance and checks of your equipment.
• Communicating traffic control needs to the flaggers.
• Ensuring to always operate cautiously when working around obstacles, ground personnel, and the public.
• Filling up the machine with water as required or whenever necessary.

Requirements

• Have an understanding of the construction industry and road construction specifications and standards
• FOR OPERATORS: Must maintain a driving record that meets Park Paving's minimum standards for vehicle and equipment operation – 6 or fewer demerits in 3 years, no dangerous driving charges, no DUI charges, etc.
• Display a professional and courteous approach with co-workers, supervisors, and the public.
• Must be physically fit – repetitive bending, lifting, kneeling, walking for long periods of time.
• Be able to work in inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.

• Punctual and able to work full time, overtime, and weekends
