Park Paving Ltd. has been a locally owned and operated for 50 years as one of the largest road construction contractors in Edmonton and surrounding areas, and we are looking for a SMALL ENGINE MECHANIC to work in our Maintenance Facility to help service our Edmonton and surrounding area construction operations.

In this position, you will primarily perform a range of skilled repair and maintenance work on small engine equipment. Responsibilities include inspection, diagnosis and repair of mechanical and electrical issues on power equipment such as plate tampers, jumping jacks, portable generators, motorized pumps, trimmers, and so on. You will also be expected to coordinate the distribution and return of said equipment with other company divisions while also scheduling repairs and maintenance in conjunction with other shop and company activities.

Work involves procedures of a technical nature and uses hand/power tools and a variety of test equipment. The job works with minimal supervision but may include working with other shop personnel in completing projects and activities. There is considerable discretion exercised by the incumbent in the performance of regular duties.

Successful candidates will be licensed Small Engine Mechanics with a valid driver license and have a strong operating knowledge of a wide-range of power equipment that will allow them to effectively diagnose and repair any potential problem in conjunction with their direct supervisors, and other employees while maintaining an positive and respectful work environment.
