Assistant Store Manager (New Store Opening)

Starting Rate: $21.25 / hour

The Role

Muse Cannabis is looking for an Assistant Store Manager who believes great cannabis retail starts with genuine connection, thoughtful service, and a knowledgeable team.

As the Store Manager's right hand, you'll help lead the team and create the premium, concierge-style experience Muse is known for. You'll be hands-on - supporting guests, coaching your team, sharing cannabis knowledge, and keeping the store running smoothly.

When the Store Manager is away, you'll step up and lead with confidence, compassion, and care.

What You'll Do

• Create a warm, personalized experience for every guest.
• Listen first and help guests discover products that are right for them - never push.
• Lead by example and provide on-shift direction and support.
• Coach your team on cannabis knowledge, thoughtful recommendations, sales, and service.
• Help achieve store sales goals while keeping the guest experience at the centre.
• Support the training and onboarding of new team members.
• Handle opening, closing, cash management, and daily store operations.
• Keep the store organized, well-merchandised, and looking its best.
• Ensure cannabis regulations and store procedures are followed.
• Handle guest concerns with professionalism and compassion.
• Step up and lead the store when the Store Manager is away.

What You Bring

• 2+ years of retail, hospitality, or customer-facing experience.
• Previous supervisor, keyholder, or leadership experience.
• A genuine interest in cannabis and ongoing product education.
• A warm, approachable style and a natural ability to connect with people.
• Strong customer service and sales instincts without the hard sell.
• A desire to coach, support, and bring out the best in others.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to obtain the required provincial cannabis certification.
• Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 lbs.
