About UsDepartment of Service Nova Scotia, King's Printer/Postal Services is responsible for all government printing and postal requirements. This includes the supply, production and distribution of high quality, high volume, black/white and color documents, as well as confidential, secure, efficient, and effective postal services, for departments, agencies, boards, and commissions for the Province of Nova Scotia.
About Our OpportunityUnder the general supervision of the Supervisor, Postal Services, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of approximately 3 million pieces of government mail per year, while adhering to Canada Post rates, standards, and guidelines. You are also responsible for assisting in the production and distribution of print and postal services for the department. This is accomplished through the operation of a variety of print/postal processing equipment and shipping systems. You will have the flexibility of moving between King's Printer and Postal Services, as directed, and/or as operational requirements indicate.
Qualifications and ExperienceTo be successful in this role, you will have three years of related clerical experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
You will also have the following skills and/or experience:
- Use of current shipping systems, mail processing and bindery equipment.
- Proven organizational skills.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written), with the ability to work harmoniously as a member of a team.
- Great attention to detail.
- A high degree of initiative and a solid understanding of, and ability to work with, highly confidential information.
- Shipping, receiving and/or distribution of government mail, printed matter, and supplies.
- Document filing and data entry.
Knowledge of Canada Post rates, procedures and guidelines are considered assets.

Pay Grade: CL 13
Salary Range: $1,647.65 - $1,793.47 Bi-Weekly
