  • Collaborate with Operations, Technical Services, Finance, Sales and Marketing, Procurement, and external service providers to support business and production objectives.
  • Develop, review, and modify logistics-related scopes of work and service requirements for transportation and logistics contracts.
  • Support the negotiation, implementation, and management of logistics contracts to ensure reliable and cost-effective services.
  • Monitor contractor performance, conduct audits, manage non-conformances, and work closely with Procurement on sourcing activities, change orders, and escalations.
  • Provide logistics expertise related to freight options, transportation lanes, and cost estimates to support changing business requirements.
  • Develop and implement contingency plans to minimize operational disruptions resulting from service interruptions, labour disputes, or transportation challenges.
  • Lead communication and coordination with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure safety, production, and customer service objectives are achieved.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, environmental standards, and transportation legislation.
  • Participate in internal and external audits and drive continuous improvement initiatives across logistics operations.
  • Support budget management and execution plans while identifying opportunities for service optimization and cost reduction.
  • Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, accountability, ethical conduct, and operational excellence.

Experience

  • Minimum 5–7 years of progressive experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, materials management, operations, or contract management.
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience in an industrial, manufacturing, mining, transportation, or supply chain environment.
  • Experience coordinating multimodal transportation services including trucking, rail, warehousing, and port operations.
  • Demonstrated experience managing contractor performance, service agreements, and stakeholder relationships.
  • Experience working within complex operational environments with multiple internal and external stakeholders.

Education
