Job Title: MIG / TIG Welder

Location: Scarborough, Ontario (Near Kennedy & Finch)
Shift/Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:00 am - 4:00 pm; Friday, 7:00 am - 1:00 pm
Pay Rate: $27.00-30.00/hr

The position is based in a custom fabrication environment and involves completing high-quality welds on metal components. The role focuses mainly on MIG welding, with occasional TIG work, and includes interpreting drawings, using shop tools, and supporting overall production activities. Opportunities for TIG skill development may be available.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform MIG welding on custom metal components with accuracy and consistency
• Support TIG welding activities when required
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Operate hand tools, tack welders, and measuring instruments
• Inspect welds to ensure adherence to company quality standards
• Assist with other production or fabrication tasks as needed

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of MIG welding experience
• TIG welding experience (6-12 months preferred) or willingness to learn
• Ability to interpret blueprints and follow technical instructions
• Skilled in the use of hand tools and measuring devices
• Physically able to lift and handle materials up to 50 lbs
• CWB certifications considered an asset
• CSA-approved steel-toed safety footwear required
• Adaptable and able to assist across departments when required

Work Conditions:

• Work is performed in a metal fabrication shop with active welding and cutting equipment
• Exposure to heat, sparks, fumes, and machinery is typical
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times
• Work environment is safety-focused and fast-paced
