DIRECTOR OF HOCKEY OPERATIONS - NEW BRUNSWICK

The Atlantic Hockey Group (AHG) is seeking an experienced and motivated hockey professional to serve as Director of Hockey Operations - New Brunswick. This leadership position will be responsible for the planning, management, delivery, and growth of AHG's youth and adult hockey programming throughout New Brunswick.

The successful candidate will be highly organized, development-focused, and well connected within the New Brunswick hockey community. This individual must be comfortable leading both on-ice programming and off-ice operations, while identifying opportunities to strengthen and expand AHG programming across the province. Candidates with recognized off-ice training certifications and relevant experience will also be considered for this position.

The Director of Hockey Operations will work closely with the AHG President and management team to oversee and grow the organization's New Brunswick operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for AHG hockey programming throughout New Brunswick.
• Plan, organize, and deliver high-quality on-ice training and development programs.
• Lead coach recruitment and selection, ensuring coaching positions are filled with qualified, reliable, and appropriately experienced individuals.
• Coordinate tournaments, showcases, camps, leagues, and other seasonal programming.
• Work closely with AHG staff, coaches, instructors, and coordinators to maintain consistent program standards.
• Manage scheduling, staffing, logistics, and day-to-day program operations with strong attention to detail.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with coaches, facilities, associations, partners, and members of the New Brunswick hockey community.
• Identify opportunities to develop new programs and expand existing AHG programming throughout the province.
• Represent AHG professionally within the New Brunswick hockey community.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Extensive background and experience within the hockey industry.
• Strong knowledge of the New Brunswick hockey landscape and established relationships within the hockey community.
• Proven ability to develop, organize, and manage multiple hockey programs simultaneously.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently outside of a traditional office environment.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on growth, efficiency, and long-term program development.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends when required by hockey programming.
• Fluency in English is required; fluency in French is considered an asset.

AHG recognizes that qualified candidates may already operate or be involved with their own hockey programs. We are open to exploring flexible arrangements or partnerships that could allow existing programming to be integrated, expanded, or grown under the AHG umbrella.
