About Air Borealis

  • 12 destinations within Labrador, Nain, Hopedale, Postville, Makkovik, Rigolet Happy Valley - Goose Bay, Black Tickle, Cartwright, Charlottetown, Mary's Harbour, Port Hope Simpson, and St. Lewis.
  • Charter destinations to various fishing camps within Labrador, to the Torngat Mountains National Park, wildlife survey work with our Inuit partners, as well as to various locations amongst Innu Lands with our Innu Partners for their annual Outpost Program.
  • 11 Fleet of Twin Otter aircrafts.

We are seeking a Cargo Support Supervisor to join our team in Goose Bay, NL.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing and coordinating Cargo procedures and review, evaluate and implement new procedures.
  • Establish work priorities and delegate work to Cargo Agents.
  • Ensure deadlines are met and procedures are followed.
  • Co-ordinate and plan for cargo services, such as visiting selected businesses, meeting with individuals, drop off of brochures and rates and following up with phone calls.
  • Accept customer freight and inquiries.
  • Update customer log.
  • Ensure customers' needs are satisfied.
  • Develop marketing strategies.
  • Supervisor cargo service representatives and ensure the efficient day to day operations of the cargo lobby.
  • Arrive/depart flights in Amelia cargo.
  • Support coastal agents with Amelia cargo when necessary.
  • DSR reconciliations and bank deposits preparation including delivery the bank.
  • Review weekly cargo billing and advised YYT accounts of discrepancies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of relevant work experience in airline operations or related industries considered an asset.
  • Supervisory/management experience would be a preferred asset.
  • Post-secondary education would be considered an asset.
  • Knowledgeable of applicable cargo handling and Transport Canada regulations
  • Experience in enhancing operational efficiency and safety
  • Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Must be detailed and driven with the ability to process information quickly.
