Manager, Peer Mentorship program

Ability NB is seeking a passionate, highly motivated and results-oriented Manager for our Peer Mentorship program. The successful candidate is a knowledge leader in peer mentorship programs for persons with a mobility disability and effective program design, delivery and evaluation. The program aims to increase access to early intervention mental health services by helping people with a mobility disability and their families adjust, adapt and thrive as they deal with a new injury or with the ongoing challenges of living and aging with a mobility disability. The Manager provides oversight to the program by leading the development and implementation of 1) a formal, provincial, bilingual peer mentorship program; 2) a formal curriculum and peer mentorship training program; and 3) a social media hub for peer mentorship connections.
The successful applicant must demonstrate the following qualifications:
- Minimum of a post-secondary degree or diploma in a social service related field.
- Minimum of one year of experience in employee management, leadership and coaching
- Highly motivated, results-driven, innovative and resourceful
- Minimum of one-year experience in program development
- Excellent planning, organizational, time-management, communication, facilitation, relationship-building, numeracy and writing skills
- Proven ability to network and work collaboratively with employees, volunteers, diverse stakeholders and populations
- Knowledge of peer mentorship program practices
- High level of proficiency with computers and in Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of privacy legislation and demonstrated ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
- Previous experience in peer mentorship programs will be considered an asset
- Persons with a mobility disability are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Bilingual ability in English and French is an asset.
Salary: $55,000 to $65,000 + benefit package. Valid driver's license, travel throughout the province and use of own vehicle is required.
