Qualifications:
High School Graduation.
Sufficient physical strength and conditioning to perform extensive and continuing
janitorial/custodial tasks.
Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions and to perform quality
assurance reporting activities.
Must have initiative and be able to work independently.
Experience in janitorial work would be considered an asset.
Knowledge of the chemicals, cleaning practices, equipment and supplies used in the
processes would be considered an asset.
A satisfactory Code of Conduct will be required.
The successful applicant will be required to submit a satisfactory certificate of conduct.
Duties: (Included but not limited to)
Dry and wet mop floors; vacuum carpets; clean walls, furniture, fixed and selected non-fixed
equipment as per daily, weekly and monthly schedules and as otherwise assigned.
Operation of all equipment utilized within the department.
Collect garbage as scheduled and as required.
Cleaning/Disinfection of hard surfaces throughout the Facilities.
Cleaning/Disinfection of Client/Resident’s rooms and other areas of facilities.
Cleaning/Disinfection of Dirty Utility Room walls and floors.
Ordering Housekeeping supplies.
Other related duties as required.
