Senior Financial Analyst

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation of quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements, including supporting schedules, disclosures, and related reporting deliverables.
- Prepare and review monthly internal reporting and analysis to provide timely, reliable information for decision-making.
- Support the annual external audit process by preparing schedules, coordinating documentation, and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Collaborate with business units and cross-functional teams to gather financial information, support reporting requirements, and meet shared deadlines.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial reporting processes, strengthen efficiency, and support continuous improvement within the finance function.
What We're Looking For:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with confidence working with accounting systems and financial information.
- A detail-oriented approach and a commitment to accurate, high-quality work.
- Clear communication skills, including the ability to explain financial information to people with different levels of financial knowledge.
- The ability to organize work, manage priorities, and adapt to changing timelines.
- A collaborative mindset and a practical, service-focused approach to achieving results.
What You'll Need:
- Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and at least five (5) years of progressively responsible financial reporting experience.
- A university degree in business and a professional accounting designation, such as Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA).
- Experience preparing IFRS-compliant financial statements or working in financial auditing is an asset.
- Experience with accounting and financial software, such as JDEdwards, Clarity, Spreadsheet Server, or other financial reporting tools, is an asset.
- Knowledge of regulated utilities, oil and gas, energy markets, or other capital-intensive industries is an asset.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
