Job Title: Truck Helper / Driver Helper
Location: Dartmouth, NS, various work locations
Shift/Hours: Monday to Thursday, 4:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m.
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour

The Truck Helper / Driver Helper will support the Delivery Driver with fuel deliveries to residential and commercial customers. This role involves assisting with delivery setup, handling fuel hoses, loading and unloading equipment, and following all safety procedures while working outdoors in various conditions.

This position is physically demanding and requires someone who is reliable, safety-focused, and comfortable working evening and overnight shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Delivery Driver with daily routes, navigation, and delivery setup
• Handle and maneuver fuel hoses to and from the delivery vehicle during service stops
• Assist with connecting hoses to customer tanks while following company safety procedures
• Support fuel deliveries to residential and commercial customer sites
• Load and unload delivery materials, tools, and safety equipment as required
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Communicate professionally with the driver, supervisor, and customers as needed
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Follow company safety procedures, customer site requirements, and supervisor instructions
• Perform other general labour duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Able to lift 50 lbs. or more as required
• Comfortable with repetitive lifting, pushing, pulling, and handling fuel hoses
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
• Able to work evening and overnight shifts
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
• Able to follow instructions and work closely with a driver or supervisor
• Previous delivery helper, general labour, warehouse, or outdoor work experience considered an asset
• Previous Transportation of Dangerous Goods training considered an asset
• CSA-approved safety footwear required
