Class 1 Driver

Job Title: Class 1 Driver with Air Brake Endorsement
Location: Fall River, NS
Shift/Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. start
Pay Rate: $24.00 to $26.00 per hour, based on experience

The Class 1 Driver will be responsible for completing local deliveries with occasional highway runs. This role involves safely operating a Class 1 vehicle, loading and unloading freight, maintaining accurate delivery documentation, and providing professional customer service during deliveries and pickups.

This position offers steady daytime hours and has the potential to move into a full-time, permanent role.

Responsibilities:

• Safely complete local deliveries with occasional highway runs
• Load and unload freight safely and efficiently
• Complete driver logs and delivery documentation accurately
• Follow all safety, transportation, and company procedures
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections as required
• Provide professional customer service during deliveries and pickups
• Handle freight carefully to prevent damage during transport and delivery
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Valid Class 1 driver's licence with Air Brake Endorsement required
• Minimum 3 years of verifiable driving experience
• Clean driver's abstract dated within the last 30 days
• Able to lift up to 60 lbs. as required
• Previous local delivery or highway driving experience considered an asset
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
• Able to work independently and follow assigned routes and delivery instructions
