NBCC is seeking a dynamic and relationship-driven Development Officer to join our Advancement team and help secure the philanthropic support that empowers student success and enhances teaching and learning across New Brunswick.
As a Development Officer, you will build meaningful relationships with donors, community partners, corporations, foundations, and other supporters who share our commitment to student success. Through strategic fundraising and donor engagement, you will help create opportunities that remove barriers to education and ensure students have access to modern learning environments and critical financial supports.
Position Type: Regular
Location: Any NBCC campus location
Salary Range: $59,046.00 to $82,576.00 per annum
- Build relationships, engage stakeholders, and secure philanthropic gifts that advance student success, enhance learning environments, and support NBCC's strategic priorities.
- Respond to inquiries from new and existing donors regarding donations to NBCC programs and engagement opportunities.
- Manage a portfolio of current and prospective donors.
- Support internal fundraising requests and build relationships with college faculty and staff to identify prospective donors and strategic needs.
- Maintain accurate donor records within the Customer relationship management (CRM) system.
- Coordinate equipment and in-kind donations, including appraisal and documentation processes.
- Develop and maintain donor prospect pipelines that support sustainable philanthropic growth.
- Be accountable for achieving individual fundraising revenue and activity goals.
Education
- Two-year post-secondary diploma in Business Administration or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Experience & Expertise
- Minimum of three years of recent, related experience in fundraising, sales, partnership development, account management, or business development.
- Demonstrated success in building relationships and securing significant financial commitments.
- Proven ability to achieve or exceed fundraising targets, sales goals, or other performance objectives.
- Experience soliciting and securing contributions from individuals, corporations, foundations, or other funding partners is considered a strong asset.
- Experience across a broad spectrum of fundraising activities, including annual giving and mid-level giving is an asset.
- Experience with major gifts, capital campaigns, and/or fundraising within a post-secondary environment is considered an asset.
This position may require travel. Candidates must hold and maintain a valid New Brunswick driver's licence.
