The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Senior Specialist Talent Management, DEI, Culture & Engagement to join our People & Culture team in Toronto, Ontario. The role is in a hybrid work environment and requires in office presence 2-3 days a week.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Talent, DEI, Culture & Employee Engagement, the incumbent will play a key role in creating and advancing enterprise people initiatives across Talent Management, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI), Culture, and Employee Engagement. The position combines program execution, data analytics, stakeholder engagement, and project management to deliver impactful employee experiences and organizational outcomes.

In this role, you will contribute to the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of talent and culture programs while leveraging workforce data, technology, and insights to inform decision-making and drive business results. You will collaborate closely with HR teams, business leaders, and cross-functional partners to ensure programs are aligned with organizational priorities and employee needs.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Management

  • Coordinate end-to-end talent processes, including performance management cycles, talent reviews, calibration sessions, and succession planning activities.
  • Prepare talent review materials, dashboards, meeting documentation, and action plans to support leadership decision-making.
  • Maintain talent and succession planning data, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality.
  • Support asset teams in aligning talent initiatives with business objectives and workforce needs.
  • Monitor key talent metrics and provide insights that support organizational effectiveness and workforce planning.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI)

  • Support the execution of enterprise-wide DEI strategies and programs across the organization.
  • Coordinate employee self-identification campaigns and DEI-related communications initiatives.
  • Prepare and analyze DEI-related metrics and reporting for ESG and other organizational disclosures.

Culture & Employee Experience

  • Help translate organizational values into practical tools, resources, learning materials, and employee programs.
  • Support culture-building initiatives, leadership roadshows, employee events, and engagement activities.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition and Corporate Communications teams to maintain employer branding assets and employee value proposition materials.
  • Contribute to initiatives that strengthen employee connection, inclusion, and organizational culture.

Employee Engagement

  • Support the administration and execution of employee engagement surveys and pulse assessments.
  • Analyze engagement data and develop reports, dashboards, heat maps, presentations, and recommendations.
  • Coordinate employee recognition programs, reporting, and related communications.

People Analytics, Reporting & Systems

  • Develop and maintain HR dashboards, reports, and workforce insights that support strategic decision-making.
  • Partner with HR Reporting teams to produce standard and ad hoc reports using HRIS and survey platforms.
  • Ensure the quality, accuracy, and integrity of talent, engagement, and DEI data.
  • Collaborate with HRIS and IT teams to troubleshoot system issues, validate fixes, and improve reporting capabilities.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve efficiencies through automation, AI tools, and process enhancements.

Project Management & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and manage project plans for talent, culture, DEI, and engagement initiatives, as required
  • Develop presentations, facilitator guides, FAQs, communication materials, templates, and toolkits for key stakeholders.
  • Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders, timelines, deliverables, and governance requirements.
  • Track budgets, vendor invoices, and project expenditures against approved plans.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance program effectiveness, scalability, and employee impact.

About You

Experience

  • Minimum 5 to 7 years of progressive experience in Talent Management, Organizational Development, Human Resources, People Analytics, or a related Centre of Excellence environment.
  • Hands-on experience supporting performance management, talent review, and succession planning processes.
  • Experience working within complex, matrixed, and geographically dispersed organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting employee engagement, culture, and DEI initiatives.
  • Proven track record of leveraging technology, automation, AI, or digital tools to improve processes and operational effectiveness.
  • Experience managing projects involving multiple stakeholders, competing priorities, and sensitive information.

Education

  • Undergraduate Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Organizational Development, Analytics, or a related discipline.
  • CHRP, CPHR, or equivalent professional designation (completed or in progress) is considered an asset.
  • Experience with talent assessments and leadership development tools is considered an asset.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of talent management practices, including performance management, talent reviews, succession planning, and leadership development.
  • Advanced analytical capabilities with experience working with workforce data, dashboards, and reporting tools.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUPs, and data analysis techniques.
  • Experience using HRIS platforms such as SuccessFactors and employee survey tools such as Qualtrics.
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and compelling presentations for leaders.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
  • Demonstrated commitment to fostering inclusive, equitable, and engaging workplace experiences

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting DEI, culture, talent management, or employee engagement programs within a global organization.
  • Knowledge of HR analytics, workforce reporting, and organizational effectiveness methodologies.
  • Experience implementing AI-enabled solutions or digital transformation initiatives within HR functions.
  • Experience partnering with cross-cultural and geographically diverse teams.
  • Passion for developing inclusive workplaces and sustainable talent strategies.
