- Inspect Bolters, Jumbo Drills, Haul Trucks, Graders, Bulldozers, Excavators, Shovels, Loaders and other surface and underground equipment for proper performance and troubleshoot equipment to detect faults and malfunctions.
- Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment.
- Adjust, repair or replace defective parts and components of the equipment systems.
- Disassemble and reassemble components such as engines, transmissions, cooling systems, fuel and exhaust systems, breaks, clutches, differentials, hydraulics, electrical systems, and lubrication systems.
- Inspect, examine and test parts in order to recommend the extent and nature of the work to be done then test the final repair.
- Service attachments and working tools as required.

- Post-secondary education in Heavy Duty Equipment Technician is required.
- Interprovincial Red Seal in Heavy Duty Equipment Technician is required.
- 4 years of Heavy Duty Mechanic experience is required.
- Experience with the repair and maintenance of CAT, Epiroc, Hitachi, Sandvik and Maclean Mining Equipment would be considered an asset.
- Previous mining experience would be considered an asset but transferable skills from other industries are encouraged to apply.
- Ability to work through troubleshooting charts and reading schematics would be considered an asset.
- Knowledge of and interest in computerized diagnostic tools and equipment would be considered an asset.
- Ability to troubleshoot Heavy Duty hydraulic systems, electrical systems and powertrains would be considered an asset.
- Demonstrated willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Passion to learn and grow while taking on new challenges.
- Reliable and dependable mechanic with a strong team player attitude.
