Are you open to learning how to operate a Zamboni and maintain ice surfaces? Do you like being part of a busy events-focused community facility? Do you have some availability to work flexible hours in the fall and winter months, including evenings and weekends?

If this sounds like you, apply to work as an Ice Technician this fall/winter season at the East Hants Sportsplex!

Previous experience working in an arena environment, operating a Zamboni, or working with an ice plant is an asset, but not required. Training will be provided.

We are looking for candidates who:

Are mechanically inclined and can operate equipment
Are physically able to lift 30 pounds and can work in varying temperatures
Have a valid Class V Driver's License
Have the ability to work a schedule that could include some days, evenings, and weekends

A clean Vulnerable Sector check and Child Abuse Registry Check will be required.

Hours: Casual, Part-time, and Full-time hours are available.

Hourly Rate: $24.25/hour
