Meridia Recruitment Solutions has partnered with Petro Service Limited in their search for a Senior Recruiter.

Role Description

As a Senior Recruiter, you will report to the HR Director and play a key role in developing and executing recruitment strategies that attract, assess, and secure high-quality talent across Petro Service and its affiliated businesses. This position is responsible for managing full-cycle recruitment across a wide variety of positions, including technical, skilled trades, operational, customer service, professional, and leadership roles. You will work closely with hiring managers and business leaders to understand workforce requirements, develop proactive sourcing strategies, and ensure an exceptional candidate experience from initial engagement through offer acceptance.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Owning full-cycle recruitment across multiple companies, ensuring a consistent, efficient, and engaging candidate experience from intake through onboarding;
  • Managing high-volume recruitment requirements while leading specialized searches for technical, skilled trades, operational, professional, and leadership roles;
  • Partnering with hiring managers and senior leaders to understand staffing needs, define role requirements, prioritize requisitions, and recommend effective recruitment strategies;
  • Proactively sourcing qualified candidates using direct outreach, referrals, job boards, social media platforms, networking initiatives, and community partnerships;
  • Building and maintaining talent pipelines to support current hiring demands and future workforce requirements;
  • Developing relationships with schools, training institutions, career centers, newcomer associations, and community organizations to strengthen access to talent;
  • Representing Petro Service at career fairs, recruitment events, school presentations, and community outreach initiatives;
  • Providing guidance to hiring managers regarding interview planning, candidate assessment, selection practices, compensation discussions, and offer recommendations;
  • Tracking recruitment metrics, reporting on hiring activities and pipeline health, maintaining applicant tracking system data integrity, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Your Qualifications

As the ideal candidate, you are an experienced talent acquisition professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building strong relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and external partners. You bring a strategic approach to recruitment while remaining highly organized and hands-on in execution. You are skilled at sourcing and assessing talent across multiple disciplines, comfortable managing competing priorities, and passionate about creating an exceptional candidate experience.

Qualifications include:

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • A minimum of 5-8 years of progressive recruitment, talent acquisition, or workforce hiring experience;
  • Demonstrated success managing full-cycle recruitment across a variety of role types, including skilled trades, technical, operational, professional, and leadership position;
  • Strong sourcing expertise utilizing applicant tracking systems, LinkedIn, Indeed, social media, networking, and other recruitment platforms;
  • Experience advising hiring managers on recruitment strategy, candidate assessment methodologies, interview processes, and compensation considerations;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams;
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and reporting capabilities with attention to detail;
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills;
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required to support recruitment events, outreach initiatives, and business needs.
