Job Title: Sanitation Worker
Location: Oxford, Nova Scotia
Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM / 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
Pay Rate: $20.58 per hour

Job Overview

We are seeking reliable general laborers who will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary production environment. The role includes cleaning and sanitizing production equipment, work areas, and common spaces, following food safety and company sanitation procedures, handling cleaning chemicals safely, and helping ensure the facility meets quality, hygiene, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform sanitation and cleaning duties throughout the facility to maintain food safety and hygiene standards
• Clean and sanitize production equipment, floors, and work areas
• Always follow company safety policies and sanitation procedures
• Work efficiently to meet strict cleaning timelines during production or shutdown periods
• Support team members to ensure a safe and organized work environment

Requirements

• Ability to work under strict timelines in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortably working as part of a team
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to workplace safety
• All jewelry must be removed before entering the production area
• Steel-toe safety boots are required

Qualifications

• Previous sanitation, cleaning, or housekeeping experience is considered an asset
• Reliable transportation to Oxford, NS
• Ability to lift at least up to 50 lbs when required
• Comfortable working in hot and cold environments, depending on department
• Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts (day and night)
