The Senior Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing projects to ensure successful delivery within scope, timeline, and budget. This role involves managing project dependencies, risks, and stakeholder engagement while ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. The Senior Project Manager drives collaboration across teams, facilitates decision-making, and leads change management efforts to support seamless project transitions and adoption. Additionally, they optimize resource allocation, track financials, and promote continuous improvement in project management processes, ensuring compliance with governance standards and organizational policies.

In this role, you will :

  • Define project objectives, scope, and execution roadmap in alignment with strategic goals.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, resource allocations, and budgets, managing dependencies and critical paths.
  • Leads project execution or guides process in support of service lines or team accountable for program , ensuring deliverables meet scope, timeline, and financial targets.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks with proactive contingency planning.
  • Manage scope changes, assess impacts, and provide recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement, ensuring alignment, issue resolution, and decision-making.
  • Oversee change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption of project outcomes.
  • Optimize resource allocation across multiple projects while balancing competing priorities.
  • Track and manage project budgets, forecast costs, and implement cost-saving measures.
  • Conduct post-mortems to capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement.
  • Provide leadership to project teams, offering guidance, coaching, and fostering a collaborative culture.
  • Ensure compliance with governance frameworks, project management standards, and organizational policies.
  • Continuously refine project management processes based on team and stakeholder feedback.

What we are looking for:

  • Qualifications include a minimum of 6-9 years experience and a 3-year college diploma or university degree in project management, business administration or similar and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires expertise in a specialized discipline or broad experience across fields, along with an understanding of interconnections between processes and business units.
  • Project management institute (PMI) certification or equivalent is required
  • Demonstrated experience in managing all phases of large-scale and complex projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in defining and executing on change management plans to ensure user adoption and sustainment of project outcomes
  • Advanced skills in project management tools and methodologies across the full project cycle.
  • Work experience and knowledge relevant to the project area.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and SharePoint and project management information systems (SmartSheet, Jira, Microsoft Planner, Project Operations, etc.).
  • Ability to facilitate multiple stakeholders to achieve consensus, issue resolution, and decisions on complex issues with conflicting perspectives.
  • Ability to identify complex problems, analyze interrelated factors, assess and mitigate risks, and develop solutions using specialized skills.
  • Communication and influence skills to gather perspectives, understand needs, and present information to reach consensus, often in somewhat sensitive situations.
  • Ability to identify and assess potential risks that may affect project outcomes by developing risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to minimize the impact of risks.

Working Conditions:

  • No unusual physical requirements.
  • Requires significant attention to detail and concentration and ability to mentally process large amounts of information.
  • The work pace is often unpredictable with significant time pressures.
  • Ability to adapt to frequent and often urgent changes in priorities, and make decisions under pressure, work at an unpredictable pace.
  • Work will be conducted in an office-like setting.
  • May require travel to safe locations; limited exposure to adverse conditions.
  • Work requires the ability to work to deadlines.
  • Work requires interactions with dissatisfied clients and the resolution of complex client issues.
  • In a large scale emergency, where staff numbers are compromised or additional resources are required provide disaster relief and/or emergency field operational support
