SALARY RANGE: $104,000.00 - $128,406.51

BENEFITS: Benefits Package Applicable, Foreign Service Premium (applicable when employee is travelling outside of Home Country)

LOCATION: Offshore Newfoundland, Canada

TYPE OF RIG: DP3 6th Generation Ultra-Deepwater Semi-Submersible, Hercules

ROTATION: Equal Rotation

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Contract, Full Time

CONTRACT: Long Term Contract; Estimate 400 Days + 300 Day Option

NUMBER OF POSITIONS: Four (4)

JOB SUMMARY: Operate and maintain equipment in the drilling areas.

PRE-REQUISITES/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 1 year experience as a Lead Roughneck on a 6th Generation Ultra-Deepwater Semi-Submersible
  • 2 years experience as a Roughneck on a 6th Generation Ultra-Deepwater Semi-Submersible
  • 2 years experience with AKER and MHWirth equipment
  • Structured and organized mindset
  • High level of integrity
  • Analytical ability
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Must pass Physical, Drug Screen and Background/Pre-Employment Screening Checks

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead Roughneck shall perform required work in connection with drilling operations, maintenance work on drilling equipment in the drilling area.
  • Lead Roughneck shall assist with working on Shale Shakers.
  • Lead Roughneck has a duty to always comply with Odfjell's job instructions, while displaying a great degree of flexibility in the role and providing assistance where Offshore Installation Manager finds it appropriate.
  • Lead Roughneck shall take orders from superiors.
  • Follow up daily/weekly maintenance routines.
  • Responsible for housekeeping in own areas
  • Lead Roughneck shall assist Assistant Driller in daily tasks, including but not limited to:
    • Prepare and plan such as running tally, BHA and Rig Manager report.
    • Plan and prepare Fingerboard preparations.
    • Train and learn Roughnecks in cyber base operations.
    • Prepare and plan next operations with Assistant Driller.
    • Verify and follow up Roughneck's daily checklists are completed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
