Employer: Vanguard Construction Inc.

Vanguard Construction Inc. is seeking a full-time Carpenter to join our growing construction team. The successful candidate will work on residential and commercial construction projects in Prince Edward Island.

Responsibilities:

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications.

Measure, cut, shape and assemble wood and other building materials.

Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.

Install doors, windows, stairs, trim, siding, and other structural and finishing components.

Perform renovation, repair and maintenance work as required.

Ensure all work is completed in accordance with building codes and company quality standards.

Operate hand and power tools safely.

Maintain a clean and safe work site and follow all health and safety regulations.

Work effectively with supervisors and other trades to complete projects on schedule.

Qualifications:

Experience as a carpenter in residential or commercial construction.

Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings.

Knowledge of carpentry techniques, building materials and construction methods.

Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.

Physically capable of lifting heavy materials.

Reliable, dependable and able to work as part of a team.
