Job Title: Transportation Supervisor

Rate of Pay: $70,000-$85,000/year (based on experience)
Job Type: Permanent Hire, Full-time
We are hiring a Transportation Supervisor for a wholesale electrical distribution warehouse in Burlington! Strong leadership skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and experience in transportation supervision is required. Candidates must be available to interview in Burlington ASAP.

Responsibilities include:
- Lead all transportation operations, ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, cost control, and achievement of departmental and organizational goals.
- Oversee dispatch, routing, scheduling, fleet management, and outbound delivery operations to maximize service levels, profitability, and on-time performance.
- Manage departmental budgets, payroll approvals, fleet assets, transportation contracts, and Ministry of Transportation compliance, including cross-border shipping requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing operational data, identifying efficiencies, reducing costs, and implementing best practices.
- Champion a customer-first approach by resolving service issues, maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring customer commitments are met.
- Provide leadership, coaching, recruitment, performance management, training, and development for the transportation team while fostering a positive, collaborative, and safety-focused culture.
- Collaborate with Operations, Sales, Finance, Human Resources, Warehouse, and Executive leadership to support business objectives and implement operational strategies and policy changes.
- Perform additional duties as assigned in support of departmental and organizational success.
Candidate Requirements:
- High school diploma required; post-secondary education in Transportation is an asset.
- Previous experience in transportation coordination required.
- Supervisory or team lead experience within a transportation environment.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Solid analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills with good financial awareness.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Office 365).
- Candidates must be willing to provide a criminal record check
