Position SummaryThe Facilities & Custodial Associate is responsible for maintaining clean, sanitary, organized, and welcoming environments across designated AIMA locations and affiliated properties. This position will provide regular cleaning services at the AIMA office, Shelly's Indigenous Bistro, and designated residential properties, as required.
The successful candidate will be dependable, thorough, organized, and comfortable working independently across multiple locations.
Key ResponsibilitiesCleaning & Sanitation- Perform routine cleaning and sanitization of offices, kitchens, bathrooms, common areas, and other designated spaces.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and clean floors as required.
- Dust and wipe down furniture, fixtures, surfaces, and equipment.
- Clean and sanitize washrooms, including sinks, toilets, mirrors, and other surfaces.
- Empty garbage and recycling and replace liners.
- Clean kitchen and staff areas, including counters, sinks, tables, and appliances as required.
- Clean windows, doors, glass, and other surfaces as needed.
- Complete periodic deep-cleaning tasks as assigned.
- Maintain a consistent standard of cleanliness across assigned locations.
- Monitor cleaning and sanitation supply levels.
- Restock washroom, kitchen, and cleaning supplies as required.
- Keep cleaning supplies and equipment organized and stored safely.
- Notify Senior Leadership when supplies need to be ordered or replaced.
- Identify and report maintenance, safety, or repair concerns observed while completing cleaning duties.
- Assist with cleaning following maintenance, renovations, events, or other operational activities as required.
- Travel between assigned AIMA and affiliated locations as scheduled.
- Complete other cleaning and property-support duties as assigned.
- Previous professional cleaning, janitorial, housekeeping, or related experience is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistent cleaning standards.
- Ability to work independently and manage cleaning responsibilities across multiple locations.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to follow established schedules and cleaning procedures.
- Ability to safely use standard cleaning products, supplies, and equipment.
- Ability to perform physical duties associated with cleaning, including standing, bending, reaching, lifting, and carrying supplies.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check required.
- Satisfactory Child Abuse Registry Check required.
- Full-time position.
- Regular standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, and repetitive movement are required.
- Regular use of cleaning products, equipment, and supplies.
- Duties and assigned locations may vary depending on operational needs.
