We are currently accepting applications for an LPN Supervisor to join our team in Antigonish.

Responsible to the Manager Rural Home,

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• Responsible for overall home support care to clients in a designated geographic location
• Manages and supervises the overall performance of a team of home support workers in a designated geographic location in order to provide support to clients
• Provides training and support for staff when required
• Communicates with clients and family on changing homecare needs and changes in client's condition
• Communicates with Continuing Care on a daily basis regarding client care needs
• Works with Community Occupational Health and Community Physiotherapists to ensure their recommendations are followed by home support workers and clients in the community
• Collaborates as needed on staff and client issues
• Monitors the expected outcomes of field staff performance
• Assesses clients on admission
• Develops and maintains care plans pertaining to clients
• Collects data to resolve client care, staff, and/or related issues
• Monitors care delivery in the home by conducting client visits
• Responds to concerns and complaints from staff and clients
• Provides training and support as required
• Monitors staff/client activity through Procura reports
• Attends meetings (team, committee, boards, client)
• Completes other tasks as required

Qualifications:

• Three (3) to five (5) years of related nursing experience (e.g., nursing with a focus in homecare and/or geriatrics)
• Experience and/or education in supervisory and/or leadership positions
• Current Licensed Practical Nurse Certificate
• Active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Nova Scotia (CLPNNS)
• Current Standard First Aid and CPR
• Mental Health Awareness training preferred
• Valid Drivers Licence

Salary: As per Northwood Scale

Hours of Work: 32 hours bi-weekly( 8 hour shifts)

Effective: September 1st 2026
