The Opportunity:

Our team at Maritime Allergy Clinic, located in Moncton, NB, is offering an opportunity for a dedicated LPN to join our growing team on a Full-Time (30-35 hrs/week), Permanent basis. We are seeking a versatile and adaptable individual who is ready to step in wherever needed. Key Responsibilities, as required/applicable:

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive health care services. This role involves (is not limited to):

  • Conduct patient assessments and follow-up visits for a variety of common allergic presentations.
  • Perform and assist with clinical tasks including history taking, allergy skin testing, allergy immunization, and routine follow-ups.
  • Assist physicians with in-office procedures.
  • Complete initial patient assessments and document findings accurately.
  • Deliver patient counselling and health education within scope of practice.
  • Perform all other related administrative tasks or special tasks.

Experience/education required:

  • The applicant must have a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) designation with an active nursing license in good standing with the Association of New Brunswick Licensed Practical Nurses (ANBLPN).
  • Basic CPR certification.
  • Previous experience across various areas of medicine is considered a strong asset.
  • Previous experience administering immunizations, assisting with procedures, and conducting comprehensive patient assessments is considered a strong asset.
  • Experience using electronic medical record software (EMR) is an asset.
  • General knowledge of the New Brunswick medical system is an asset.

  • Demonstrate advanced clinical and critical thinking.
  • Ability to maintain a high regard for confidentiality and advocacy for patients.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a busy clinical environment.
  • Demonstrate strong documentation skills with attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated individual who works well independently and as a team.
  • Strong computer literacy, proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage patients of all ages (infants to older adults) as well as members of the healthcare team.
  • Adaptable and willing to learn new skills while responding positively to changes in practice.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Empathetic, patient-focused approach to care.
  • Due to daily operational needs, proficiency in English and French are required .

Working Conditions & Location:

  • The LPN position requires availability to work from Monday to Thursday from 8:15am-5pm. This schedule excludes evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays.
  • The successful candidate will be expected to work on-site.
  • The clinic's team currently includes Physicians, RN's and 2.5 administrative support staff members.
  • The clinic is at 115 Pacific Avenue.

Compensation: We offer a competitive compensation package within the range of $35-$38 per hour. Placement within the range will be determined based on the successful candidate's experience, qualifications, and relevant skills.

Estimated start date: Specific start date will be determined with the successful candidate.
