Senior Manager, Programs

We're hiring a Senior Manager, Programs, which is a new role at Genesis, designed to deepen the hands-on support we offer founders as they move from early traction to sustainable growth. Reporting to the Director, Programs, this role will lead the delivery, monitoring, and evaluation of programming that supports startup scale, including oversight of:
- The Genesis Residency Program;
- The Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EIR) and expert network; and
- Genesis' Startup Funds.
The successful candidate will have a record of moving projects from 0-1; of operating in a lean team environment; and of balancing high-level strategic thinking with direct program delivery.
From October 5, 2026, through July 31, 2027, this role will also serve as interim lead for the Programs function during a scheduled leave of absence for the Director, Programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and evaluate delivery of the Genesis Residency program, ensuring a consistently high-value experience for participating startups.
- Recruit, onboard, and manage Entrepreneurs-in-Residence and subject matter experts, matching their expertise to current trends in member needs.
- Oversee and administer Genesis Startup Funds, which provide growing startups with capital to support specific areas of business growth.
- Develop and maintain new resources tailored to growing companies, considering the needs, wants, and challenges of moving from early to growth revenue.
- Work closely with teammates to ensure a seamless continuum of support for early-stage founders through growth-stage startups.
- Monitor regional, national, and international best practices in innovative tech startup programming and apply the latest methodologies at Genesis.
- Support the Programs Team to deliver all Genesis programs and community events.
- Other reasonable duties as required.
What you Bring
- Strong background working in and/or around startups.
- Proven program design and leadership experience.
- Excellent verbal communication and relationship-building skills.
- Experience in data, evaluation, and strong written documentation.
- Skilled at managing multiple priorities and diverse stakeholders.
- Based in Newfoundland and Labrador and legally permitted to work in Canada.
