Position Summary:
As a Rehabilitation Assistant (RA), you will work under the supervision of our Occupational Therapist and Physiotherapist to support the implementation of resident care plans. You will also play a key role in promoting staff and resident safety through education and hands-on support.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing therapy programs developed by OT/PT staff
- Facilitate OT/PT referrals and monitor resident progress
- Educate staff on safe handling, mobility, and equipment use
- Maintain accurate documentation, inventory, and statistics
- Conduct routine equipment checks and identify maintenance needs
- Participate in safety initiatives and departmental meetings
- Support interdisciplinary collaboration to improve resident outcomes
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Rehabilitation Assistant (OTA/PTA) program or bachelor's degree in Kinesiology
- Standard First Aid and CPR certification
- Continued education in the field (if not currently practicing)

- Experience working with individuals with physical and/or mental health diagnoses
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

- Data collection or research experience is an asset
