Advantage Personnel is currently recruiting for an experienced Commercial Tailor on behalf of our client in Bedford, NS. Responsibilities:

• Construct, alter, and repair uniforms, coats, specialty garments, and other commercial apparel
• Read and interpret technical specifications, measurements, and garment patterns
• Operate industrial sewing machines and utilize hand-finishing techniques
• Perform alterations and fittings to ensure garments meet customer specifications
• Maintain consistent quality, durability, and attention to detail throughout production
• Collaborate with production staff to meet deadlines and production schedules
• Inspect finished garments to ensure quality standards are met
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace
• Follow all workplace safety procedures and company standards

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Commercial Tailor or Industrial Sewing Machine Operator
• Strong knowledge of garment construction, alterations, and finishing techniques
• Experience using industrial sewing machines and commercial tailoring equipment
• Ability to read patterns, technical drawings, and garment specifications
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
• Formal tailoring or garment technology training is considered an asset
