Public Works Labourer

Rothesay is seeking an individual to fill the role of Labourer for our Public Works Department. Reporting to the Works Superintendent, the Labourer is responsible for performing a variety of semi-skilled and unskilled manual labour tasks in the maintenance and repair of Rothesay infrastructure, grounds, parks and facilities. Duties will include, but are not limited to, light maintenance and servicing of equipment.

The successful candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent and possess a valid New Brunswick Driver's License. They will possess the knowledge for safely operating and performing routine maintenance on trucks and various pieces of equipment, as well as the ability to understand and follow oral and written directions. The successful candidate must have the physical strength and ability to do strenuous labouring tasks and will be performing work in an outdoor environment in a variety of weather conditions. Must be prepared to work overtime as required.

Current wage rate for a Labourer is $26.51/hour.
