Position: Sanitation Technician
Location: Highland Fisheries, Glace Bay, NS
Department: Sanitation
Shift: Evening/Night (based on production needs)
Employment Type: Seasonal (with potential for full-time)

Overview:
Clearwater Seafoods LP is currently seeking seasonal Sanitation Technicians to join our team at the Highland Fisheries facility in Glace Bay, NS. In this essential role, you'll be responsible for ensuring cleanliness and hygiene throughout the plant in accordance with internal standards and regulatory guidelines. There is potential for this role to transition into a full-time position based on performance and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete sanitation tasks throughout the facility as assigned.
  • Safely handle and apply sanitation chemicals according to company protocols (training provided).
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Work in a cool, wet environment while ensuring cleanliness in all production areas.
  • Support readiness of the plant for production in a timely and organized manner.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace throughout your shift.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of cleaning agents and proper chemical handling (or willingness to learn).
  • Strong reliability and time management skills.
  • Comfortable lifting up to 10 lbs and working in physically active roles.
  • Experience in a plant or food processing environment is an asset.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible with shift schedules, including evenings and nights.
  • Willing to accept additional duties as required.

HOURS OF WORK:

Evening/Night Shift depending on production
