PROCUREMENT AND ACCOUNTS PAYABLE CLERK (Maternity Leave)

RESPONSIBILITIES

Our organization is looking for a Procurement and Accounts Payable Clerk. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a variety of functions to support our operation in Lower Cove. We are seeking someone who is a self-starter, and who can work independently in a variety of office functions.

This is a temporary position to backfill for a maternity leave, expected between 12 and 16 months.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

The successful applicant must have completed a two-year accounting or business program from a recognized post-secondary institution. A combination of relevant education and experience may be considered. They must have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and possess a strong commitment to detail. The ideal candidate must also have exceptional skills working in a computerized office environment. Experience using SAP is an asset. Candidates must also possess and maintain a valid driver's license.

DUITES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide Support to the Procurement Department in a full range of functions.
  • Create purchase orders for Purchasing Administrator.
  • Review and reconcile receivables, purchase orders and invoices. Follow up with internal stakeholders and vendors as required.
  • Work with global Cemex team to arrange payment for approved invoices.
  • Manage the Incoming Accounts Payable Email.
  • Respond to vendor inquiries.
  • Work with Stores Attendant to update inventory in SAP.

HOURS OF WORK

The successful candidate will normally be required to work a Monday to Friday schedule but may also be required to work additional days and hours when necessary.

Commensurate with Qualifications and experience
