Job Overview:
Advantage Personnel is currently seeking a reliable and safety-focused Traffic Control Person (Flagger) to support active construction projects throughout the Halifax Regional Municipality. This role is essential in maintaining safe traffic flow around job sites while ensuring the protection of workers, motorists, and pedestrians.

Responsibilities:
- Direct and control vehicle and pedestrian traffic around active construction zones using flags, signs, and hand signals
- Set up and remove traffic control equipment, including cones, barricades, and signage
- Communicate clearly with equipment operators, supervisors, and other flaggers using radios and hand signals
- Ensure work zones are properly marked and compliant with applicable safety regulations
- Monitor traffic flow and adjust control measures as site conditions change
- Maintain a professional and courteous presence when interacting with the public
- Record daily activity logs and report any incidents, hazards, or unsafe conditions
- Wear and maintain required personal protective equipment (PPE), including high-visibility gear
- Assist with general labour duties when flagging is not required
Requirements:
- Valid Traffic Control Person (TCP) Certification required
- Previous experience in traffic control or construction labour is an asset
- Strong understanding of workplace and traffic safety regulations
- Ability to stand for long periods and work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Excellent communication skills and ability to stay focused under pressure
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Willingness to work overtime and occasional weekends
