Job Overview:
Advantage Personnel is currently seeking experienced and highly skilled Senior Construction Labourers to support commercial and residential construction projects throughout the HRM. This position is ideal for seasoned construction professionals who can work independently, operate advanced equipment, and provide guidance to less experienced team members.

Responsibilities:
- Perform a wide range of skilled construction labour duties with minimal supervision
- Operate advanced power tools and equipment, including jackhammers, compactors, concrete mixers, and power saws
- Assist with site preparation, demolition, excavation, concrete work, material handling, and general construction activities
- Support overall site productivity by assisting tradespeople, supervisors, and project teams as required
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic maintenance
- Identify and address safety concerns while ensuring compliance with site safety procedures
- Mentor and guide junior labourers and new team members
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment
- Work safely and effectively in varying weather conditions and construction environments
- Complete additional duties as assigned by site management
Requirements:
- 3-5+ years of construction labour experience or experience in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of construction practices, materials, and job-site procedures
- Proven ability to work independently and take initiative on active job sites
- Experience operating a variety of hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment
- Strong understanding of workplace safety regulations and safe work practices
- Physically capable of lifting heavy materials and performing demanding labour throughout the workday
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to quality workmanship
- Experience mentoring or supporting junior team members is considered an asset
